About Us

Knitting, sewing and fiber arts in general have always been a huge part of my life and identity.  When I left corporate America to become a mom, I found myself drawn back into the joy and satisfaction that come from being a creator.  I fell in love with knitting all over again, and soon was obsessed with knit designing.

My obsession for finding the perfect yarns and colors soon led to a whole new, unexpected, world for our family.  The answer to all my designer challenges came from a very unexpected source, my husband.

He said he thought it was time for a change (he had been a traveling healthcare project manager for over 10 years) and he’d like to learn to dye yarn. So he did, and he loved it! His art background was being put to use, and he found a real sense of calm and fulfillment.

Early in 2016, we outgrew our basement and setup a new 5000 square foot studio near our home in the cornfields of Northern Illinois, signed up to do several Fiber Events, and off we went.

In the summer of 2019, we moved to a much larger facility with a storefront and training rooms!  We hired our first employee and off we grew again.  Then 2020 happened… We pivoted and worked hard and survived, thanks to all of you!  The summer of 2022 brought new opportunities and changes.  We purchased our own building that we can customize to our needs.  The retail store front will be shut down for a bit as we get all things in place, but we are still dyeing yarn and creating new things 24/7.

It’s an exciting adventure, and one we fully appreciate!  Every day we get to come to work and play with yarn and color! We love what we do!

Thank you for being a part of our journey and helping us to continue to create beautiful, small batch kettle dyed yarns, kits, and accessories. We couldn’t do it without you!
